Our Approach
CPD delivers emergency aid to save lives and preserve dignity during and after disasters governed by humanity, impartiality, neutrality, and independence. We combine technical expertise with deep local understanding and conflict sensitivity.
How We Work
- Life-Saving Response: Deliver rapid, needs-based assistance food, water, shelter, and healthcare.
- Humanitarian-Peacebuilding Nexus: Integrate peacebuilding to ensure aid does not exacerbate tensions.
- Community Preparedness: Strengthen early warning systems and disaster risk reduction.
- Protection & Inclusion: Prioritize women, children, elderly, and persons with disabilities.
- Localization: Work through community structures for rapid access and ownership.
- Coordination: Coordinate with government, UN agencies, and international partners.
Where We Work
- Somalia: All federal member states Galmudug, Hirshabelle, Jubbaland, South West, Puntland, and Banadir reaching communities affected by droughts, floods, conflict-induced displacement, and public health emergencies.
Our Goal
