Research and Advocacy

CPD supports research on various socio-economic issues affecting rural and urban communities in Somalia. Because information is power, we extensively research and make available information on key issues to policy makers, organizations, and institutions of learning.

This helps define policies based on tangible evidence that goes to affect advocacy work in Somalia, and keeps the government, development partners and citizens informed on pertinent issues and possible ways of resolving them.

Realization of socio-economic rights is the foundation to heightened and wholesome citizen participation; we champion and strive to improve society socio-economic opportunities in realization of long term visions.

Our research department is experienced in complex and standard research techniques. Some of the techniques that we employ include:
Formulating research project definitions;
Designing methodology;
Research tools;
Data gathering;
Data analysis;
Reporting;
Conclusions and recommendations and results presentation.
